Sometimes the greatest resource for interior decorating is the world found just outside the home. The great outdoors are filled with plenty of items that can be used to decorate a home cheaply, quickly, and, most of all, stylishly. One easy trick is to create simple displays of fresh or dried produce. Any arrangement of fresh and/or dried fruits can be grouped in a visually pleasing way inside a similarly attractive container. Seashells and flowers also add breathtaking appeal to a home and can be arranged in any number of ways.
- Experiment with various arrangements of fresh and/or dried produce displayed ornamentally in stylish bowls, vases, or any other visually appealing type of container
- Try collecting seashells, or realistic looking sea-inspired décor, and arranging them on display in unexpected areas
- Mix and match bouquets of flowers and foliage, using either fresh cut stems for temporary displays or dried out arrangements for more permanent show
“I’ve always admired those who can throw together an artistic vignette at a moment’s notice. Someone who can use a few clippings from the backyard to create a stunning centerpiece, or capture the spirit of the season with a bowl of lemons!”
